Tuesday, July 17, 2007Derby - twiceI have been up to Community Church Derby twice in the last two weeks. The first was for a "Deeper" conversation on "Church in the 21st Century". That evening went really well, and was well received. A couple of people have asked if it was recorded - well the answer is that it was, but the recording didn't work!! Then I was up there this last Sunday. I was attempting to introduce some of the ideas we looked at in Northampton on "Practices for Growth". I was really chuffed to be asked. It was a challenge to think about all that stuff we covered. I felt i needed to lay some ground for the concept which then left me no time to really look at practices - and i went 10 mins over!! On reflection I should have not spent so much time on the 'illustration' of Practice of Rest and taken a bit of time to mention a few others. Anyway, as always happens the one I was less pleased with is recorded. If you fancy a listen you can find it here.
